Description
SAIC is seeking a Security Manager to provide leadership and oversight of SAIC Security’s consolidated DoD Personnel Security Services operations team, serving enterprise-wide security clearance requirements. Candidate will manage a dynamic team of Personnel Security subject matter experts in the processing and maintenance of lifecycle clearance actions in accordance with DoD policies and directives.
This position is 100% remote nationwide.
Role Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) with direct oversight for the DoD consolidated services Facility Security Clearance Level (FCL).
- Serve as the Hierarchy Manager and primary administrator with compliance oversight of all SAIC Multiple Facility Organization (MFO) Security Management Office (SMO) codes within DISS and NBIS.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all DoD Clearance processing enterprise-wide
- Contribute active, strategic partnership to senior security leadership on high level decisions, projects and programs
- Represent SAIC as an active contributor on various industry working groups
- Provide strong leadership oversight and development to direct reports
- Develop and administer personnel security processes and procedures for classified programs
- Study and implement federal security regulations that apply to operations
- Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
- Develop and conduct personnel security audits
- Support government and company audits and inspections
- Oversee standard reporting for security clearance holders
- Oversee all personnel security clearance records within the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and National Background Investigations Service (NBIS)
- Manage the clearance denial, suspense and revocation process
- Provide support for contract wins, mergers and acquisitions
- Provide oversight and assistance within SAIC’s security prescreen, clearance, outgoing visits, contracts and facility clearance sponsorship processes
Qualifications
Required Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience in Personnel Security, or Masters Degree and thirteen (13) years or more of related experience; Additional 4 years experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Experience managing and leading small to medium teams
- Strong knowledge of industry policy including NISPOM and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs)
- Strong knowledge of all collateral customer Personnel Security processes
- High level knowledge and experience using government systems such as DISS, NBIS, NISS and Scattered Castles
- Customer Service oriented with strong oral and written communication skills. This position will require heavy interface with various customers/stakeholders
- Experience writing SOPs, processes and procedures
- Must possess Top Secret security clearance eligibility
